100 Words Film Festival

The 100 Words Film Festival is an American film festival held annually in Charlotte, North Carolina. Founded in 2014 by Scott Galloway, the festival celebrates concise, cinematic storytelling as each film must contain exactly 100 spoken words. Deemed "The Twitter of film festivals" by Kevin Roberts of Saatchi & Saatchi, the 100 word limit requires filmmakers to focus on the essence of the story. The word limit is also a part of the festival's goal to democratize filmmaking by making it financially achievable for nearly everyone.
The inaugural film festival debuted on November 22, 2014 in front of a sold out crowd of more than 700 people at the McGlohon Theatre in Charlotte, NC. 30 professional and student films, created by filmmakers from around the world premiered. This year's festival will be held on November 6 and 7 at the McGlohon Theatre in Charlotte, NC.
